2024 Ginetta Junior championship starts with Jeff-Hall on pole

Ethan Jeff-Hall starts the 2024 Ginetta Junior championship with pole position for the first round of the season at Oulton Park.

Jeff-Hall jumped to the top of the times after the first round of laps and improved to go even quicker. The R Racing driver ended the session as the only driver to lap quicker than 2m06s around the Oulton Park circuit. His final time was 2m05.724s, a tenth of a second quicker than the time achieved by Charlie Hart during Friday practice.

Hart was also on the pace during qualifying, managing the second quickest time overall, 0.381s slower than Jeff-Hall.

Marcus Saeter managed third quickest, ahead of Chase Fernandez and Henry Joslyn.

Ruban Dan, Isaac Phelps and Torrin Byrne finished sixth through eighth, while Archie Clark and Nick Ellis rounded out the top 10.

Jeff-Hall’s second fastest time was enough for pole position for the final race of the weekend, with Chase Fernandez lining up alongside him on the grid, with Hart in P3.
